About Me

Lisa Woodard

In 2015, after a life altering health crisis that landed me in the hospital for nearly two years, I began creating and designing copper wire jewelry, and in 2018, I began to build my little business that I call “My Copper Life”.  The name was chosen because of copper itself. I enjoyed manipulating and creating things out of copper wire. I also loved how copper ages with such beauty and started comparing that with how we age as people…Age is beauty and it’s all about perspective! I wanted to do something creative that I could do and not focus on the things I could no longer do. I also wanted to create a way to show women that they are beautiful. We don’t need to conform to the world’s standards of beauty, but celebrate our own true uniqueness of how we were created. God created us as his masterpieces, each as a special work of art. I believe that, just as a frame accents a beautiful painting, a piece of jewelry accents the bearer. We are all beautiful masterpieces, let’s celebrate that and feel confident in our beauty! Lastly, I want to be able to share this beautiful and fun art of making copper wire jewelry with others by teaching people how they too can create beautiful pieces. After all, life isn’t just about me, it’s about inviting others to join in with me and share what life has to offer together!
